An Ec tester measures the mineral content of the nutrient solution, which can be measured by its electroconductivity. Pure water (like rainwater)
or distilled water does not conduct electricity. Adding salts is the only way to make water conductive. Fertilizers added to the nutrient solution increase
its electroconductivity. Testing the EC every day is therefore essential in order to know whether or not to add fertilizer, and in what dosage.
Electronic display tester (blue color), precise (to the 0,1) allowing to measure the EC (Electro-Conductivity) of nutritive solutions. Simply, the nutrients emit an electric current into the water and the two electrodes of the EC tester measure them. Incorporates ATC (automatic temperature compensation) technology.
Indeed, the different temperatures of your solutions directly influence the EC measurements. Indispensable in hydroponics.
Stops automatically after 30 seconds.
