Ballast CMH 315W by Calitek

Electronic ballast designed for use with a 315W CMH bulb.

DIMMABLE DESIGN

This design can run a lamp at rated wattage and features a four phase controller to set the ballast output to 190W, 245W or 315W or Super Par, which will increase the brightness by 15%.
Be sure to run your lamp continuously at 100% for 10 minutes before switching to other settings. Switching settings quickly can harm the lamp.

PROTECTION MECHANISM

Input protection:
High / low voltage; radiation / inrush current / pulse group; overcurrent; power failure.
Output protection:
Open circuit; short circuit; end of lamp life; fault ignition; overvoltage; rectification effect protection.
Overheat protection:
During operation, internal heat will dissipate through the housing. When the case temperature reaches 85°C, the ballast will gradually reduce the power to 80%; When the case temperature reaches 90°C, the ballast will stop operating until it cools down to 70°C, then return to the full power state.

STAGGERED IGNITION

When used in a group, when all ballasts are connected to the same power source (power strip, timer) or all controlled by the digital controller, all ballasts are energized simultaneously creating a large inrush current and generating a severe overcurrent. In order to reduce this inrush current, each CALITEK ballast will turn on separately in a random manner within 3 to 10 seconds, thus spreading the inrush current over a larger range.
