The Poppy, an annual flower, takes its name from the Latin "papaver" meaning poppy, and "rhoeas" from the Greek. Its bright red flower with crinkled petals and black center is emblematic. Its highly dissected foliage and hairy stems add to its charm, with a height of 60-70 cm.
