THE TIDE TABLE REVISITED BY GENERAL HYDROPONICS

The Ebb & Flow system works by sub-irrigation, the nutrient solution immerses the substrate and then flows into the tank when the pump stops.
This regular ebb and flow of the solution ensures excellent oxygenation of the root system.

It allows the use of a wide variety of containers (size, material, shape) and especially of substrates or mixtures of substrates (clay ball, coconut fiber, perlite, soil).

Technical specifications

Recommendation for an optimal use of the Ebb & Grow :

Pots (not supplied):
Plastic pots: good solution
Fabric pots: more expensive, they have the advantage of allowing the nutritive solution to penetrate their entire surface and limit the dispersion of substrate debris in the system

Substrate (not supplied):
Clay ball
Coconut fiber or coco/perlite mix
Earth
Rockwool (which we do not recommend, as it is a non-recyclable material)

Timer (not supplied) :
A tide table requires the use of a timer which regulates the watering cycles. For watering durations of less than 15 minutes, you should opt for a digital timer that allows minute-by-minute programming.
The on/off cycles of the pump are to be adapted according to your working method:
The type and quantity of substrate
Your climate
The consumption of your plants
