Solabiol, French brand, reference of natural gardening, offers a range of fertilizers and crop protection products, usable in Organic Agriculture.


The purpose of the glue strip is to control several insect infestations present around the trunk of trees.
The cheimatobia causes serious damage to fruit and ornamental trees - The eggs hatch in the spring and the caterpillars then feed on the leaves and flowers - The earwig attacks the ripe fruit.
This strip of moss creates a double barrier preventing the passage of insects (ants, caterpillars, crawling insects ...) under the trap and adapts to all types of bark, with or without cracks without sticking to the fingers.

On which type of plant ?
For fruit and ornamental trees.

Use :
Cut a small strip of scratch tie (1 cm wide) which will be used to join the two ends of the moss strip. Then cut enough foam to go around the trunk.
Position the foam strip about 1 meter above the ground, wrapping it tightly around the trunk (leaving no gaps for insects to pass through)
Apply the cut scratch tie to join the two ends of the foam strip. And position the glue strip against the foam (sticky side of the strip towards the outside). Unroll the tape, pressing it as tightly as possible against the foam to form the most impenetrable barrier possible for insects. Allow for several centimeters of overlap before cutting the strip to ensure that the trap remains in place.
Regularly check that the glue strip is well maintained around the trunk and make sure that no element (debris, plants, insects in too large numbers...) can facilitate the progression of the insects.
Change the tape if the number of stuck insects is too high and allows the passage of new insects or if the tape is no longer sticky (about 3 to 5 weeks, depending on weather conditions).

Advice:
Make sure that no branch of the tree touches a wall or another unprotected tree to prevent insects from finding another way in.

Period of use :
Optimal use from March to December.

Composition :
2strips of foam of 2,5 m + 1 reel of "dry-touch" tape + scratch links to cut.

Precautions for use:
Keep out of reach of children and away from food and drinks including those for animals.
Keep in the original packaging, away from moisture. Wash hands after application.
Reuse of packaging is prohibited. Dispose of the packaging, with or without product residue, at a waste disposal center.
