Cresson Alènois seeds
Cresson alénois, scientifically known as Lepidium sativum L., offers a year-round growing option, suitable for outdoor production champ. This versatile, very hardy variety has very fine, dark-green foliage, with regular, rapid growth, ensuring a high yield.
Soil preparation for Cresson alénois is simplified, as it grows in all types of soil. To optimize growth, be sure to water frequently while keeping the soil moist and cool.
Sowing can be carried out at a depth of 0.5 cm in the open ground from March to autumn. Alternatively, it can be sown all year round under cover in a pot or window box. Seed emergence takes just 5 days at a temperature of 19°C.
Harvesting can begin 2-3 weeks after sowing, from mid-May to mid-August. When cutting, be sure to do so 3 cm above the ground to ensure optimum regrowth. Keep the soil moist to ensure continued cress quality and freshness.
