Organic Tomato Roma seeds - La Semence Bio
Product details
Roma tomato organic seeds
Originally from the foothills of the Andes, the Roma tomato found its way into French kitchen gardens in the 18th century. The Roma variety, oblong and red, is distinguished by its elongated square to ovoid character when grown in bunches, with an average weight of 80 g. Its very firm texture makes it an ideal choice for canning and concentrate preparation, offering a sweet, appreciated flavor.
Growing tips:
- Prepare the soil by choosing fresh, potassium-rich soil. Smoke the soil in autumn to prepare it. Choose a sunny position and water regularly.
- Sowing: Sow between February and May, 1 cm deep, in a bowl. After 8 weeks, transplant the seedlings by burying them 2 cm below the collar. Install stakes before planting.
- Planting density: 45 x 75 cm.
Emergence: Germination takes 8-10 days in soil maintained at 18°C.
Harvesting: Enjoy fruit from July to the end of October.
Note: Roma can also be grown in pots (approx. 30 cm in diameter) using clay-enriched potting soil for optimum results.
