Product details
Blanc Long Parisien cucumbers are crunchy, bitter-free, sweet and easy to digest.
An old, early, runner variety. Its elongated, white-fleshed fruits (approx. 20 cm long) are crunchy and bitter-free. Initially pale-green, they become creamy-white when ripe.
Sowing advice :
Sow in March, April or May in pots, then transplant into healthy, fresh, loose, moist soil when the plant has 3 leaves and frosts are no longer a threat.
Space plants 0.60 m apart, in rows 1.30 m apart, in sunny, warm locations. Water regularly.
Tip:
Most cucumber varieties are "runners", meaning they produce long stems and can easily occupy 2 to 3 m²! Not very practical for small vegetable gardens! But it's possible to get around this problem by inviting your cucumber plants to grow upwards, by climbing on a wire fence for example. Help your plants to position themselves on their support, and your cucumber tendrils will do the rest. This simple, practical method gives the fruit better exposure to light, prevents it from getting dirty and makes harvesting much easier - and it works for gherkins too!
