Product details

The Royale des Guineaux tomato: an early, juicy delight!

This early, productive variety will delight tomato lovers. With fruit weighing around 150 to 200 grams, it offers juicy, firm flesh and excellent taste quality. Ideal for salads, juices or pies, this tomato will satisfy the most demanding palates.

Sowing :

Sow from February to April on a warm bed or in pots indoors or in a heated greenhouse, in fine sowing soil. Make sure the temperature remains constantly above 20°C for germination.

Bury the seeds about 1 cm deep and keep the potting soil moist but not soggy. Place the terrines near a window for good light exposure.

Planting :

Transplant when frost is no longer a concern and the plants are 12-15 cm tall. Plant in rich, loose, healthy soil, leaving 70 cm between rows and 50 cm between rows, in a sunny spot.

Install stakes before planting to support the plants. Water abundantly at the base once a week to prevent disease.

Plant pruning :

Pruning tomatoes by draining is not compulsory, but it can increase fruit size and earliness. This method requires time and discretion. You can also choose not to prune at all or to lead the plants on two strands by removing the gourmands.

Harvesting :

Harvest tomatoes 4 to 5 months after sowing to enjoy their delicious, juicy flavor.

Disease protection:

The main problems encountered are downy mildew and apical necrosis. Protect your plants against mildew with suitable treatments and make sure you water regularly to avoid apical necrosis due to a lack of water or calcium in the soil.
