Product details

Zucchini Jaune: a ray of sunshine in your vegetable garden

Discover Courgette Jaune, an early, non-runny variety with tender fruit and creamy flesh, offering exceptional taste quality. Ideal for a variety of dishes, from ratatouille to fries, this zucchini will brighten up your summer meals.

Growing guide

Sowing: In April, start your seedlings in well-lit pots, maintaining a minimum temperature of 12°C. Place the seeds on edge and water regularly to keep the soil moist, but not soggy.

Transplanting: From mid-May onwards, transplant your plants into a sunny spot, about 1 metre apart in all directions. Don't forget to water regularly and add compost to encourage growth.

Maintenance: Stimulate plant development by pinching stems and hoeing regularly around plants to eliminate weeds. Mulch the base to control weeds and preserve soil moisture. Water at the base without wetting the foliage, especially in the hot summer months.

Good associations

Avoid planting near potatoes, but favor proximity to beans and cabbage, which are good companions for Yellow Zucchini.

Common problems and solutions

If your zucchini plant doesn't produce flowers or fruit, it may be due to hot weather or a lack of pollination. Attract pollinators by sowing floral mixes near your cucurbit crops to encourage fruiting.

Harvesting and storage

Zucchini are generally harvested 2 months after sowing. For tender, less bitter zucchini, harvest them young. Remember to check your plants regularly and harvest zucchini when they reach the desired size.
