Growing tips:
Radishes like sunny exposures, but will take part shade. It also thrives in light, cool, humus-rich soil. Don't neglect regular watering in hot, dry periods, as drought makes radishes hollow and prickly. Don't hesitate to remove stones and avoid over-compacted soils that prevent root development.
Good to know:
The strength of the radish's pungency depends on watering: little watering and the radishes will have a more powerful flavor.
For cooking:
Edible radish tops are similar in taste and use to watercress.
