Uchiki Kuri pumpkin seeds - La Semence Bio
The Uchiki Kuri pumpkin, originally from Asia (Japan), has orange flesh with a sweet chestnut taste. With its brick-red, fig-shaped fruit and smooth rind, it is an attractive variety.
To prepare the soil, loosen it to a depth of 20 cm at the level of the future planting beds, and enrich with compost. Sow in stacks of 3 to 4 seeds at a depth of 3.5 cm, between April and the end of May. After sowing, water well. Thinning is necessary, keeping the most vigorous plant.
The recommended planting density is 90 x 120 cm, with emergence in 6 to 8 days. These pumpkins, weighing between 1.5 and 3 kg, can be stored for up to 7 months in a well-ventilated place.
